Description
On the feast day of Saint Panteleimon, Monday 27 July, O Gregos in Katakilo hosts a live music night. This is a panigiri, a traditional Greek village feast, held in the heart of the small village of Katakilos in central Andros.
The music is led by Odysseas Tsoumpos on the laouto (Greek lute), Panagiotis Manesis on violin and Nikos Stefanis on keyboards. Expect island and traditional Cycladic songs and dancing late into the night, with tables of locals and visitors celebrating together.
To book a table, call 22820 29494 or 6973042614 in advance. Katakilos is close to Mesaria and Chora, easy to reach across Andros island in the Cyclades.
