For the first time, the Festival opens the doors of one of the island's most important landmarks: the courtyard of the Byzantine Church of Taxiarchis in Messaria becomes the setting for a special classical music concert, conducted by Ioakeim Baltsavias.

The programme "From Baroque to the 20th Century" takes the audience on a journey through music for strings, from the world of Antonio Vivaldi to the Renaissance and Baroque revivals of Ottorino Respighi — a three-century journey where melody and virtuosity dialogue with Byzantine architecture and the historic landscape of Andros.
