The Menites Association holds the Koumoulou panigiri on Sunday 23 August, at the association Stegi on the village square.

Music starts at 21:00 and runs until morning, with Giorgos Rerras (violin, vocals), Fr Stavros Larios (violin), Giannis Garyfallos (laouto, vocals), Nikos Papadakis (bass) and Rafaela Evangelopoulou (vocals).

The panigiri is held on 23 August itself, the day the Orthodox calendar closes the feast of the Dormition of the Virgin. Panagia Koumoulou is the church of Menites, a village of five neighbourhoods on the slopes of Petalo, just outside Chora.
