A unique folk art exhibition takes place at the Embeirikeio Gymnasium in Chora, Andros, from July 11 to 19, 2026. Eirini Giannisi presents the handmade creations of a lifetime — thousands of hours of embroidery and knitting, countless knots crafted with crochet hooks and needles, vibrant colours and compositions that form a priceless legacy of folk craftsmanship.

Blankets, embroidered textiles, knitted pieces and handmade dolls compose a panorama of authentic handcraft, offering visitors a window into a tradition that stands in quiet contrast to the age of mass production. The exhibition is a chance to admire the patience, skill and beauty of the handmade.
