A third year for KappArt, the arts festival held at Morakaioi Kapparia from 28 to 30 August. This year’s theme is «Opening doors and gates between worlds», built around the myth of Medusa.

Friday 28 August. The day opens with workshops, Zen Tangle at 12:00 and jewellery and storytelling for children at 14:00, followed by Nikos Papaspyrou’s Heavenly Sessions sound experience at 16:00. At 18:30 founders Sorin Draghici and Theodoros Kontopoulos welcome the audience, and the «FRACTURE» exhibition by Nelly Tragousti opens straight after. Then WERA on live looping cello (19:15), Sophia Kyriakou’s performative visual interaction (20:00) and at 20:30 The Inner Ritual of Medusa, an interdisciplinary performance of music, spoken word, movement and painting. The night closes with SONAIA (21:45) and dj sets until 02:00.

Saturday 29 August. Workshops from 12:30, a book presentation at 18:30, then Marry & The Grateful Deaf (19:15), Lefteris Andriotis and Areti Koltsida with special guest Maroulita de Kol (20:00), Pollux (21:30) and Labyrhythm (22:30). Dj set until 02:00.

Sunday 30 August. A quieter day: spoken word, santouri with Augustina Mastori (13:10), a collective jam at 14:20 and closing remarks at 15:00. At 21:00, an open air screening of «Pencil Knife Baton».
