Gria to Pidima Beach ("the Old Woman's Leap") is one of the most distinctive and popular beaches on Andros, on the southeast coast very close to Korthi. It stands out for its uniquely beautiful sand, the huge rock that rises a few metres from the shore, and the myth behind its name.

Its blue-green, crystal-clear and shallow waters make it ideal for families. About 38 km from Gavrio and 23 from Chora, and despite its fame it is hard to reach: the route winds through the narrow alleys of Korthi bay, the final stretches are passable dirt road, and the last few metres are on foot along a path.

Its name comes from a myth of the Ottoman era: an old woman, regretting that she had betrayed the nearby Pano Kastro ("the Old Woman's Castle") by opening its gate to the conquerors, climbed a high rock and threw herself into the sea, turning to stone where she fell. Seen from a certain angle, the characteristic rock is said to resemble the profile of an old woman in a headscarf. Pano Kastro itself, the strongest medieval town of Andros, stands to the north with breathtaking Aegean views.
