Scuba diving and boat excursions in Andros

Description

Scuba Andros is a PADI-certified diving center and boat excursion operator based at Gavrio Port on the western coast of Andros. With over 15 years of experience and more than 5,000 guests served, the center offers structured diving programs, snorkelling trips and scenic boat excursions across the island’s pristine coastline in the Cyclades.

Led by PADI instructor Kostantinos Santas, the team operates the professional RIB vessel «Nemo», maintained to Bureau Veritas safety standards. Programs range from beginner PADI Open Water courses to advanced certifications, fun dives for certified divers and guided boat excursions to secluded bays and beaches along the rugged western shore of Andros.

The dive sites around Andros stand out for their remarkable diversity. Vouvi Reef reveals rich marine life across depths of 8 to 25 metres, while the Mastropetros Wreck offers an atmospheric descent for experienced divers at 18 to 30 metres. Barracuda Bay provides calm, sheltered conditions ideal for beginners and snorkellers, with exceptional visibility year-round. Encounters with barracuda schools, octopuses, moray eels and sea turtles are common in these waters.

Scuba Andros operates seasonally from spring through autumn, with daily departures subject to weather and sea conditions. Full equipment rental is available on site. The center’s location right at Gavrio Port means visitors stepping off the ferry can be underwater within the hour — an ideal first stop for diving enthusiasts arriving on the island.
