Description
The Panigiri tou Sotiros (Festival of the Transfiguration) is the biggest and most beloved traditional village festival on Andros island. Organised by the Cultural Association of Arni "I Evangelistria", it takes place on Thursday 6 August 2026 at the Cultural Centre of Arni, a mountain village perched at 500 metres above sea level amid some of the most lush, forested landscapes in the Cyclades.
A panigiri is one of Greece's most authentic cultural experiences — a community feast with live folk music, traditional dancing, and local food and wine that goes on well past midnight. This year's lineup features Panagiotis Manesis alongside Odysseas Tsoubos, Rafaella Evangelopoulou, Vasilis Mavreidis, and Nikos Stefanis. Every year the festival draws over 3,000 revellers to this tiny hilltop village, making it one of the unmissable nights of the Andriot summer.
Entry is free.
A complimentary shuttle runs from the car park to the Cultural Centre.
Doors open at 21:00.
