A highlight of the 12th International Andros Festival is the Greek premiere of the documentary "The Andros of Lefteris Vogiatzis", a Festival production directed by Ilias Giannakakis.

The film illuminates the deep personal bond between Lefteris Vogiatzis and Andros. One of the most important directors and actors of Greek theatre, founder of the legendary "Nea Skini" (New Stage) and pioneer of a demanding, stripped-back theatrical language, Vogiatzis left his mark on generations of actors and audiences. Andros was his place of refuge, inspiration and calm — the film weaves landscapes, testimonies and memories into a portrait of this relationship.

Three screenings: 29, 30 & 31 July at the atmospheric Ciné Avli, in collaboration with the Andros Film Club.
