Since 16 September 2024, following Law 5108/2024 on the unification of first-instance jurisdiction, the former Andros Magistrate’s Court (Eirinodikeio) has been abolished. The same premises, with the same contact details, now host the Andros Regional Branch of the Syros Court of First Instance and the Andros Pre-Trial Investigation Office.

It operates in Chora, Andros (postal code 84500) and reports to the Syros Court of First Instance, the competent first-instance judicial authority for the Cyclades.

The Regional Branch handles:

• Civil cases under ordinary procedure and small-claims proceedings
• Small-scale bankruptcies and wills (under the new legislative framework)
• Issuance of certificates and judicial documents
• Criminal pre-trial investigations, via the Andros Pre-Trial Investigation Office
• Court dockets for single-member ordinary procedure are published by the Syros Court of First Instance
