Walk for Wishes 2026 arrives in Andros on Saturday, May 2, as part of World Wish Day celebrations. Make-A-Wish Greece, celebrating its 30th anniversary, is organising evening walks in 13 cities across Greece from April 26 to May 3. On Andros, the walk starts at 17:45 from the Monument to Fallen Soldiers in Gavrio, under the aegis of the Municipality of Andros.

Wish children and their families lead the route, wearing glowing star necklaces in Make-A-Wish’s signature blue. This symbolic walk honours all children who fought a serious illness and recovered, those still fighting, and the memory of those who lit our path. The Municipality of Andros will illuminate local monuments and landmarks at the finish line.
