Description
The ouzeri – mezedopoleio Karavostasi, also known as "Stou Sigala", is located in Gavrio, the main port of Andros, just a few metres from the sea and the waterfront. Its picturesque courtyard offers sea views and a quiet setting ideal for savouring meze and ouzo.
The menu focuses on fresh seafood meze prepared with homemade Andriot recipes. Among the most popular choices are shrimp saganaki, mussel pilaf, grilled cod, stuffed squid, grilled octopus and sea bass with spinach. The tomato fritters and local sweets are also well worth tasting, while all seafood and fish dishes are offered at particularly affordable prices.
Karavostasi operates all year round, from noon until late at night, and is one of the most beloved dining stops for both locals and visitors in Gavrio.
