The 12th International Andros Festival closes with one of the greatest works of world drama: "Medea" by Euripides, directed by the internationally acclaimed Nikita Milivojević, with Karyofyllia Karampeti in the iconic title role.

The tragedy of Medea — the woman who, betrayed by Jason, reaches the limits of human passion and vengeance — remains a searing work about love, betrayal, otherness and violence. Translated by Giorgos Blanas, with original music by Dimitris Kamarotos, produced by "Lykofos" (Giorgos Lykiardopoulos). Also starring Lazaros Georgakopoulos, Aris Lembesopoulos, Tasos Sotirakis and Dionysis Pifeas.

A landmark performance to close the Festival at the stone-built theatre of Chora.
