Description
O Giannoulis has been a beloved dining destination in Kato Agios Petros, Andros, since 1958, making it one of the oldest and most cherished traditional restaurants on the island. Run by the same family for generations, the tavern serves authentic Andriot cuisine prepared with local ingredients, many sourced from the owners’ own production.
The menu showcases signature dishes rooted in island tradition, including the renowned fourtalia (a local herb-and-potato omelette), kolokythopoula (stuffed courgette blossoms), and grandma’s aubergines — recipes passed down through decades. Guests can also enjoy fresh seafood and fish, grilled meats, hearty home-cooked stews, and a generous selection of meze perfect for sharing over ouzo or local wine.
The restaurant features a shaded courtyard beneath tamarisk trees, where the sea breeze and views of the island’s longest beach create a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere. It is an ideal setting for both leisurely family lunches and romantic seaside dinners.
O Giannoulis operates seasonally from mid-April through October and offers takeaway service. The premises include free parking, Wi-Fi, baby chairs, and wheelchair accessibility.
