Three-day multi-sport festival on Andros island

Description

The Andros Challenge & Festival returns for its 3rd edition from June 5 to 7, 2026, bringing together trail running, open-water swimming and road racing on one of the most stunning islands of the Cyclades, Greece. Based in Ormos Korthiou on Andros island, this three-day celebration of sport and nature welcomes athletes and adventurers of every level.

The programme features four trail-running distances (35, 15, 5.7 and 1 km) along certified European hiking paths (Leading Quality Trails – Best of Europe), four open-water swimming courses (11, 3, 1.5 and 1 km), two brand-new road races through the scenic cobblestone streets of Andros Chora (10 and 5 km), and the crowd-favourite Drink & Run — a 1.6 km fun race with beer stations every 400 metres. A climbing wall operates throughout the festival, while evenings bring live music and pasta parties.

The races unfold across a landscape of rare beauty: stone-paved trails winding through gorges and ridgelines, crystal-clear waters suited to every swimming level, and the picturesque cobblestone alleys of Chora for the road races. Whether you are a seasoned athlete aiming for the Gerakones 35 km or a family looking for a unique experience with the kids at the Future Champions 1 km, there is something for everyone.

This year's charity partner is S.E.D.A. (Volunteer Firefighters of Andros), raising funds for a new 4x4 fire-response vehicle. Co-organised with the Municipality of Andros. Entry fees range from 10€ to 70€ depending on the race, and groups of 10 or more receive a special discount.
